City Precinct
The message of Easter is so huge that we just can't contain it in Queen's Park - so for many years now Easterfest has been spilling further & further in to the city of Toowoomba.
Check out the city schedule here.
Some of what you can expect at Easterfest in the city is outlined below but keep your eyes out for the "City Precinct" stamp throughout the website for an idea of artists, venues, attractions & events that are exclusively taking place in this vibrant festival precinct across the weekend.
Great Food & FREE Music...
Many of Toowoomba's inner city cafes, restaurants and pubs are filled with Easterfest artists across the weekend. If live jazz over a coffee & exquisite cake sounds good then Cafe Forte or The Olive Branch might be the place to go. If sharing a huge plate of nachos with friends while listening to great acoustic rock is more your style then Amigos Restaurant is probably the place for you.
There are literally hundreds of FREE live performances throughout the city from Thursday until Sunday - so no matter what your tastes are, in food OR music, there is a perfect venue for you. Check out the city schedule here.

FREE Rides, Shopping & MORE Free Music...
From late night shopping on Thursday through to Saturday and, more recently, Sunday trading, Grand Central Shopping Centre comes alive over the Easter weekend with something to do for everyone.
Free rides are a huge hit for primary school aged kids in the Village Square out the front of Grand Central and while Mum takes advantage of the great shopping, Dad can grab lunch and enjoy live music in the food court either at Grand Central or across the road in Gardentown Shopping Centre.

FREE Buses...
In 2012, all roads lead to Easterfest as we re-engage the Toowoomba bus network to provide free public transport throughout the city on Easter Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am - 5pm.

Gospel In The Chapel...
This year for the first time, Easterfest will be presenting a collection of traditional gospel songs, performed by some of our best loved artists. Two of Toowoomba's most iconic church buildings, St Luke's Cathedral and St Stephen's Uniting Church will host, The Empty Chair Project, Sons of Korah, The Melbourne Gospel Choir and the Watoto Children's Choir.

St Stephen's Uniting Church schedule here.

Church services...
Make sure you take time out in your Easter weekend to remember what the message of Easter is all about. From cafes to cathedrals there are church services taking place all weekend throughout the city of Toowoomba.

CBD Stage...
In 2011 the police had to spontaneously close the street when thousands of people crowded into this space to hear bands like Naturally 7, Newworldson and Paul Colman Trio perform. CBD Stage is back in 2012 bigger & better than ever on Easter Saturday AND Sunday.

The Empire Theatre...
The century old art deco Empire Theatre will host Gaither's own, Grammy nominated southern gospel quartet, Ernie Haase & the Signature Sound. Purchase a standalone ticket for $50 or upgrade your 3 day or Sunday Easterfest pass for only $5. Grab tickets here.

Busking...
In addition to the hundreds of live performances happening in venues all over the city, the festival atmosphere continues on the footpaths of Toowoomba's CBD with buskers performing throughout the Saturday and Sunday programs.
